He died from cancer, abdominal cancer (carcinomatosis, carcinoma of sigmoid colon) , at the age of 79 on February 8th, 1968 in Paisley.  The funeral took place on February 13th, 1968 in Paisley and was arranged by J. & W. Goudie, Ltd. Funeral Directors.  He was cremated on February 13th, 1968 in Paisley.¹

Helen was born on September 10th, 1900 in Kirkliston.  She died from a heart attack at the age of 85 on November 6th, 1985 in Rutherglen.  She was cremated.²
