Isabel's father was Alexander Walker and her mother was Helen Laurence.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Walker and Isobel Lorn; her maternal grandparents were John Laurance and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, John, Jean and Janet.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 46 in 1838 in Falkirk.  She was buried in Falkirk.^2 3
