John Towers 
John was born on June 23rd, 1885 in Paisley.1 2 John's father was Walter Colquhoun Towers and his mother was Jane (Jean, Jeanie) Kerr. His paternal grandparents were William Tours and Margaret Colquhoun; his maternal grandparents were Archibald Kerr and Isabella (Bella) Purdon. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Walter, William, Archibald, Alexander, James, Elmer, Isabella and Margaret. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 37 on March 3rd, 1923 in San Francisco. He was buried in San Mateo.3 4
