Elspeth Thomson (Elspy, Elspie, Euphemia)

Elspeth was born on August 13th, 1776 in Dunfermline and her baptism took place there on August 25th, 1776.¹²

Birth Notes
- 73 in 1851, so born between 31-mar-1777 and 31-mar-1778.

Elspeth's father was Robert Thomson and her mother was Janet Shipherd. Her paternal grandparents were James Thomson and Margaret Mudie; her maternal grandparents were William Shepherd and Margaret Tulloch. She had a brother and two sisters, named James, Betty and Margaret. She was the youngest of the four children. She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 82 on May 29th, 1859 in Newton-on-Ayr. She was buried in Newton-on-Ayr.³⁴
