Samuel Steen

Samuel was born on July 17th, 1876 in Donegal.¹   Samuel's father was Matthew Steen and his mother was Margaret Devenny.  His paternal grandparents were Matthew Josiah Steen and Marjory Devinney; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Devenny and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Matthew, Rebecca, Jane, Margaret and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, influenza and acute pneumonia, 8 days, at the age of 29 on February 25th, 1906 in Dromore townland.  He was buried on February 27th, 1906 in Raphoe.^2 3 4
