John Steen

John was born on July 1st, 1830 in Taughboyne and his baptism took place on July 6th, 1830 in Raphoe.¹   John's father was Joseph Steen and his mother was Jane Devenny. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Matthew, Joseph, Mary and Rachel.  He was the oldest of the five children.
