Jane Steen

Jane was born in 1874 in Donegal and her baptism took place on February 14th, 1874 in Raphoe.¹

Jane's father was Matthew Steen and her mother was Margaret Devenny.  Her paternal grandparents were Matthew Josiah Steen and Marjory Devinney; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Devenny and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Matthew, Samuel, Rebecca, Margaret and Mary.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died from a stroke, Cerebral haemmohrage, 9 days, at the age of 78 on December 2nd, 1952 in Dromore townland.  She was buried in Raphoe.^2 3 4
