James Shaw

James was born on May 10th, 1787 in Kilsyth.

James' father was Alexander Shaw and his mother was Jean Tennant. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Christian Kirkwood; his maternal grandparents were James Tennant and Jean Shaw. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Robert, James, David, William, Christian, Alexander, John, Thomas, Jean, Jean and Isobel. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 70 in 1857 in Kilsyth.
