Cecilia's father was George Ronald and her mother was Margaret Tours.  Her maternal grandparents were William Tours and Janet Fulton. She had three brothers and three sisters, named George, William, John, Janet, Elizabeth and Margaret.  She was the third youngest of the seven children. She had a half-sister named Mary.  She died at the age of 38 on January 16th, 1871 in Paisley.³
