William Robertson

William was born in 1824 in Ayrshire.¹ William's father was George Robertson and his mother was Martha McGloughlane. His paternal grandparents were William Robertson and Elspeth Thomson. He had a brother and eight sisters, named John, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Agnes, Euphemia, Jane, Charlotte and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the ten children.
