Euphemia's father was John Rennie and her mother was Euphemia McKichan.  Her paternal grandparents were James Rennie and Janet Stronach. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Archibald, Catherine and Jenny.  She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named Andrew.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, influenza, at the age of 1 on May 23rd, 1845 in Glasgow.  She was buried in Glasgow.
