Kate's father was James Rennie and her mother was Catherine (Kate) Stobo.  Her paternal grandparents were John Rennie and Euphemia McKichan. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Eliza and Jennie.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 65 on February 4th, 1925 in Glasgow.  She was buried in Glasgow.³
