Jessie was born in 1876 in Glasgow.1  Jessie's father was John Pritchard and her mother was Euphemia McKechan Rennie.  Her maternal grandparents were Alexander Rennie and Janet Ross. She had four brothers named John, Alexander, David and Ross.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
