Samuel Pitt

Samuel was born in 1847 in Monkton.¹² Samuel's father was John Pitt and his mother was Helen McMurren. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Pitt and Lillias Drennan; his maternal grandparents were Jonathon McMurren and Susan McAllan. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jonathan, Jane, Helen, Elizabeth and Lily. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 71 in 1918 in Catrine.
