George Paterson

George was born on November 28th, 1813 in Uphall. George's father was Theophilus John Paterson and his mother was Helen Cunningham. His paternal grandparents were George Paterson and Christian Philp; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Cuningham and Margaret Brash. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, James, John, Malcolm, Margaret, Jean and Helen. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
