Helen Meikle (Nellie) 
Helen was born in 1881 in Linlithgow.1 2 Helen's father was Archibald Meikle and her mother was Alison Thomson. Her maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Margaret Paterson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Archibald, William, Robert, Andrew, William, Margaret and Janet. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
