Susanah was born on October 12th, 1845 in Monkton.1  Susanah's father was David McMurran and her mother was Allison McClymont.  Her paternal grandparents were Jonathon McMurren and Susan McAllan. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Jonathon, Anne and Elisabeth.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 64 in 1909 in Kilmarnock.
