John McMurran

John was born in 1839 in Irvine.^1 2   John's father was Samuel Flinn and his mother was Mary Shaw.  His paternal grandparents were William Flinn and Susan McAllan. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, Thomas, Elisabeth, Susan, Agnes, Margaret and Mary.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 83 in 1922 in Irvine.
