Agnes' father was John McMurran and her mother was Agnes Robertson.  Her paternal grandparents were William McMurran and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Robertson and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and a sister, named James, George, John, William, Thomas and Alice.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
