Christina was born in 1847 in Paisley.1 2 Christina's father was George McGeoch and her mother was Janet Drummond. Her maternal grandparents were William Drummond and Christian Campbell. She had six brothers and two sisters, named George, William, David, John, Alexander, James, Agnes and Janet. She was the oldest of the nine children.
