Mary Mathie

Mary was born in September 1803 in Paisley Abbey parish and her baptism took place there on October 2nd, 1803.^1 2

Mary's father was James Mathie and her mother was Euphan Cameron.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mathie and Mary Brown; her maternal grandparents were James Cameron and Sarah Morison. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Janet and Agnes.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 73 on December 23rd, 1876 in Paisley.³
