Agnes' father was Archibald Kerr and her mother was Euphemia Towers. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Kerr and Agnes Harley; her maternal grandparents were Michael Towers and Janet Mathie. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, Michael, Archibald, Janet, Agnes, Annie and Euphemia. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She had a half-sister named Margaret. She died at the age of 83 on January 4th, 1955 in Paisley. She was buried in Paisley.
