William was born on June 14th, 1925 in Schenectady.¹² William's father was William Robertson Hewitt and his mother was Elisabeth (Bessie) Cowan Miller. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Hewitt and Janet White Robertson. He had a brother. He died at the age of 90 on July 19th, 2015 in McMinnville. He was buried in McMinnville.¹
