John Hamilton

John was born on November 30th, 1853 in Paisley and his baptism took place there on December 18th, 1853.

John's father was Hall Hamilton and his mother was Janet McKellar.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hamilton and Janet McLatchie. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Hugh, Hall, Robert, Janet, Cathrine and Jane.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 2 in 1855 in Paisley.
