John Findlay

John was born on June 20th, 1819 in Kilsyth.¹

John's father was Andrew Findlay and his mother was Isobel Shaw. His paternal grandparents were William Finlay and Agnes Hanna; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Shaw and Jean Tennant. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Thomas, Isobel, Agnes and Agnes. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 28 on December 14th, 1847 in Kilsyth. He was buried in Kilsyth.²²
