Thomas' father was Archibald Eaglesome and his mother was Marion Fulton.  His maternal grandparents were William Fulton and Jean Urie. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Robert, Jeannie, Isabel, Marion, Mary, Katrine, Janet and Agnes.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 80 in 1886 in Paisley.
