Robert was born on January 12th, 1794 in Paisley.1  Robert's father was Archibald Eaglesome and his mother was Marion Fulton.  His maternal grandparents were William Fulton and Jean Urie. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Thomas, Jeannie, Isabel, Marion, Mary, Katrine, Janet and Agnes.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died before 1851.2
