Jeannie's father was Archibald Eaglesome and her mother was Marion Fulton.  Her maternal grandparents were William Fulton and Jean Urie. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Robert, Thomas, Isabel, Marion, Mary, Katrine, Janet and Agnes.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 92 in 1879 in Paisley.
