William's father was William Drumond and his mother was Mary Tours.  His maternal grandparents were Michaill Towrs and Agnes Stewart. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named James, William, Michael, Agnes, Agnes, Helen, Mary, Janet, Margaret, Margaret and Elisabeth.  He died before November 1806.
