Albert's father was Hugh Drummond and his mother was Margaret Sutherland.  His paternal grandparents were William Drummond and Christian Campbell. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Hugh, James, Alexander, John, Jane and Margaret.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, pneumonia, meningitis, 1 month, at the age of 41 on September 5th, 1928 in Johannesburg.  He was buried.^3 4 4
