Peter's father was John Wilson Crawford and his mother was Susan Faulds Gatherer. He had a brother and two sisters, named George, Margaret and Ann Mary.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, James, Robert and Jessie.  He died at the age of 64 on July 27th, 1962 in Victoria, Australia.
