James Crawford 
James was born on September 1st, 1888 in Greenock.1 2 James' father was John Wilson Crawford and his mother was Jessie (Jennie) Charlotte Rennie. His maternal grandparents were James Rennie and Catherine (Kate) Stobo. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Robert and Jessie. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Peter, George, Margaret and Ann Mary. He died as a war casualty at the age of 27 on July 19th, 1916 in France. He was buried in France.3 4
