Ramsay Borthwick

Ramsay was born on August 31st, 1808 in Kirkliston and his baptism took place there on September 6th, 1808.^1 2

Ramsay's father was Hugh Borthwick and his mother was Margaret Brash.  His maternal grandparents were David Brash and Margaret Easton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George, James, John, Hugh, Robert, Isabel, Susan and Margaret.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 76 on February 4th, 1885 in Kirkliston.  He was buried in Kirkliston.^3 3
