Hugh Borthwick

Hugh was born on January 30th, 1802 in Kirkliston and his baptism took place there on February 7th, 1802.^1 2

Hugh's father was Hugh Borthwick and his mother was Margaret Brash.  His maternal grandparents were David Brash and Margaret Easton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George, James, John, Robert, Ramsay, Isabel, Susan and Margaret.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 87 on November 10th, 1889 in Kirkliston.  He was buried in Kirkliston.^3 3
