It is with great sadness that the family of John Joseph Kerbrat Sr., 80 years, of Nipigon, Ontario announce his passing on Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Thunder Bay, Ontario.
John was born in Ashern, Manitoba to Jean and Louise Kerbrat. He came to Ontario in 1959 and joined MacMillan Bloedel division in Nipigon where he became a millwright. He was a loving husband and father, devoting his time to his work and raising his family. John lived by a strong Catholic faith and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4247 Red Rock. His legacy will always continue to shine through his family.
Predeceased by his parents, by three brothers – David, Herve, and Robert and brother-in-law Joseph Kachor;
he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty years, Marilyn, by his children - John H. (& Suree) Kerbrat Jr. of Thailand, Carolyn (& Doug) Vincent of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Gloria (& Jim) Russak-Webb and Shelley Kerbrat (& Jen) both of Fort Worth, Texas, by his grandchildren – David, Greg, Crystal, Joseph, Kayla,
Jacob and Avery, by his sister Marie Kachor of Winnipeg, Manitoba and sister-in-law Elsie Kerbrat of Prince George, British Columbia. Numerous other relatives also survive.
The funeral mass for John Kerbrat will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11 A.M. at the Church of the Annunciation, Nipigon with Father A. Abadines officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Cliffside Cemetery, Nipigon.
Arrangements are in the care of Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon.
With much sorrow for those left behind, we celebrate the passage of a brother in Christ to eternal life and happiness with our Lord.
