John ROBINSON

John was born on January 9th, 1790 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place on January 25th, 1790 in St. Mary's Parish.¹ John's father was John ROBINSON (Barber) and his mother was Elizabeth Catherine KIRTON. His paternal grandfather was John ROBINSON and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Thomas KIRTON and Elizabeth LAMBERT. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, William, David, Joseph, Elizabeth, Magaret and Mary. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
