Robert's father was Robert HYLAND and his mother was Ethyl (Ruby) Ruby MATHER. His paternal grandparents were Robert HYLAND and Elizabeth Murphy STEELE; his maternal grandparents were William MATHER and Mary GLASSFORD. He had a sister named HYLAND. He was the older of the two children. He died from a stroke, Brain haemmorage, at the age of 60 on December 11th, 1970 in Kinaskan Lake, BC Canada. The funeral took place on December 14th, 1970 in Kinaskan Lake, BC Canada and was arranged by none. His burial was on December 14th, 1970 in Kinaskan Lake Lodge.¹²
