Leila Hasseltine HEYLAND

Leila was born on March 26th, 1887 in Sarnia, Lambton Cty., ON Canada.¹ Leila's father was John Thomas HEYLAND and her mother was Emily A. HOOPER. Her paternal grandparents were John H. HIGHLAND and Letitia KENNY; her maternal grandparents were Richard HOOPER and Jane. She had four brothers and a sister, named Bill, Bert, Penn, Frank Merle and Lottie. She was the fourth oldest of the six children. She died due to a childhood disease, Scarlet Fever, at the age of 5 on December 14th, 1892 in Wilkesport, Lambton, Ontario.²
