Joseph BROWN

Joseph was born in 1841 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.¹ Joseph's father was Joseph BROWN and his mother was Ann MAUGHAN. His paternal grandparents were Joseph BROWN and Eleanor STAINTHORP; his maternal grandparents were John MAUGHAN and Rachel MORLOW. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, John, Rachel, Fanny and Isabell. He was the second oldest of the six children.
