Saunders notes: "It has been a few years since I looked at his book, but he had also listed a number of children other than Samuel and Joseph as children of John, and had the family running up and down the east coast from New England to VA. It may be true, but I would be very wary of accepting everything he has written. Some of it seemed to stretch believability in my mind, and as I recall, there was little documentation. As I recall there was nothing to list how he connected John CHEW of VA as being identical to the one bap. in 1587 above.
