    Transcription:  ?In the name of God Amen I Benjamin Williams of Franklin County No Carolinia being in perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and testament Viz my Soul I Give unto the hands of God my body I Recommend to the earth, my living Estate I give devise, Bequeath, and dispose of in the following manner ~~
    
    First It is my will that all Just demands against my estate be duly paid
    
    2nd I give to my Wife Mary Williams the plantation whereon I now live with One Hundred and Seventy give acres of land Belonging thereto, to her and her heirs for ever. I also give to her A Negro Woman Called grace, but so as being subject to the following Conditions (Viz) the first child the said Negro Grace shall have after this date I give I give to be the property of my youngest Son John Williams, and all the Remainder of the increase of Sd Negro Grace after this date, I give to be equally Divided among my Children (Viz) Peggy, William, Patsy, and John Williams, to them their heirs & assigns for ever, also I give to my Wife Mary Williams a negro man Called Abram, and negro Woman Called Dinah but I give the Sd Negro Dinah on condition that my mother Lettie Williams enjoy the us of Sd Negro Dinah so long as my Said mother shall live, I farther give to my Sd Wife Mary Williams, one fifth part of all my Household Furniture and all my plantation utensils
    
    3rd I give to my daughter Peggy Williams a negro boy Called Reddick, I give to my Son William Williams a negro boy Calld Bob, I give to my Daughter Patsy Williams a negro boy Called Tom, to each of them as above given their heirs and assigns for ever.
    
    4th I give all the Remaner of my Estate (not before given) to all my Children (Viz) Peggy, William, Patsy, & John Williams to be equally divided among them. Lastly I constitute and appoint my Brother John Williams and Joseph Williams Executors of this my last Will, and hereby make Void any former will & do Ratify and Confirm this to be my last Will & Testament

    I Benjamin Williams in the County of Johnston being of sound and perfect mind and memory, but calling in mind the uncertainty of this Transistory Life well knowing that is is appointed for all Men to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
    
    First I desire that my body may be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor herein after to be named and as to my worldly goods which it hath pleased God abless me with I dispose of in the following manner, to wit
    
    First I give and bequeath unto my brother Joseph Williams Seventy five pounds, to be paid by my Executor hereinafter to be named at his discretion
    
    Secondly I give and bequeath unto Honour Sellers alias Honour Cain One hundred & fifty pounds current Money to be paid to the said Honour by my Executor herein after to be named at his option either in current money or such Property as may be mutually agreed by the said Honour and my Executor at the current prices & should they not agree on the value such Property that Men by them shall be chosen by them to value such Property & they are hereby appointed to call in a third Person to decide any difference in opinion which may arrive in their opinion of the value of such property.
    
    Thirdly I give bequeath & desire all my Land and Tenement Stocks of Negros, horses, cattle and Sheep and Hoggs with all the rest of residue of my Estate, Real and Personal, debts and Credit to my Nephew Benjamin Williams of the town of New Bern his heirs assign forever. And I do nominate and appoint & constitute my Nephew Benjamin Williams of the town of New Bern my addequate? Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and disannulling all ??? or former wills heretofore by me made. I declare this to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Twenty ?????? day of October in the Year of Our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred Ninety four

    then I lend to My Beloved Wife Charity Williams all the rest of My negroes Land and property that amount into a ____ for her lifetime or widowhood if she should move and the estate state liable to be wasted My est. is to give her whate they think proper to live upon and at her death all of My Land that I havent wild away to be sold and the Money a Riving from sd sale of Land to be divided: among My fore boys William Williams Lairance Williams Benjamin Williams and Lanford Williams all the rest of My Property Likewise to be sold and this Money a Riving from sd sale to Be divided a Mong all My children or their Heirs and I Hereby Make and ordane my worthey friends george Williams Henry Williams and Jesse Hammons Executors of this my Last will and testament in witness where of I the said Benjamin Williams have to this My Last will and test set my hand and seal the day and year above written and seale published and delivered By the sd Benjamin Williams testator as his Last will and testament in the presence of us who was present at the time of signing and sealing there of

    Item I give and bequeath unto by beloved daughter Mary Williams two Negroes called Sal and ---?- with one good feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever
    Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved son James Williams my two Negroes called Peter and Liphia with one good feather bed and furniture to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
    Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Niece Debro West one Negro girl called Conney which she had now in ---?-- ---?-Likewise one feather bed and furniture which she had given --?- ----?---- to her and her heirs lawfully begotten of her body and in case the said Debro West should dye without ---?-then and in that love the said Negro girl and feather bed is to be sold and the money arising from such sale to be equally divided between my beloved children Benjamin Williams Ann Battle Mary Williams and James Williams to them and their heirs and asigns forever.
    Third I further will and order that two thirds of the profits of my Plantation be equally divided between my two beloved sons Benjamin Williams and James Williams during the natural life of my beloved wife Nicola Williams a ---?-- ---?--. I give and bequeath unto my beloved sons Benjamin Williams and James Williams all the land I now own with one copper still and worm to be equally divided between them to them and their heirs and assigns forever
    Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter-in-law Anna Williams one Shilling Sterling money of Great Britain to her and her heirs forever------
    Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved grand children Sarah Williams Hester Humphey Dol Williams Hannah Williams Senea Williams Hol Williams Jeff Williams Amy Williams the children of my beloved son Taylor Williams deceased one Shilling Sterling money of Great Britain to each of them and their heirs and assigns forever.
    Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved grand children Benjamin Williams and Anna Battle the children of my beloved son Dot Williams deceased one shilling sterling money of Great Britain to each of them and their heirs and assigns forever.
    Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved grand children Sailea Cox Bitta Cox William Cox and Eli Cox the children of my beloved daughter Hannah Cox deceased one shilling sterling money of Great Britain to each of them and their heirs and assigns forever.
    Item My will and desire further is that all the remaining part of my estate of what nature or kind to ever that I have not already given or other ways disposed of in this will be equally divided between my well beloved wife Nicola Williams and my beloved children Benjamin Williams Ann Battle Mary Williams and James Williams to them and their heirs and assigns forever---------
    And I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved sons Obed Williams and Utz Williams and my good friend Ephramin Battle my whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby Utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments wills Loagacias bequest and executors by me in any way before named willed and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I shall hereunto set my hand and seal the lay and dole for above written ------------------------
