Joseph Snowden

Joseph was born in 1730. Joseph's father was William Snowden and his mother was Abigail Woolly. His paternal grandfather was John Immigrant Snowden and his paternal grandmother is Ann Scott. He had a sister named Margaret. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 69 in 1799.

  Futher information on Joseph Snowden (Sarah Hamlin). came from NY to Washington Co, PA in 1762. Taxed in Strabane Twp, Washington Co. PA for 70 acres, one horse, 4 cattle & 4 sheep, 1788 bought 305 acres from John Dodd for land called Prulir near the town of Washington, PA. Now remember if Joseph was born in 1725 he would be 63 years old in 1788. Then he starts to sell off this land and the last part is sold in 1795. Then Joseph & Sarah Hamlin Snowden come to Brooke around 1796 and he dies around 1799 at age 74.
