Samuel Takkes Hardjo was born about 1781 in Tuskegee, AL.  Samuel Takkes Hardjo's father was William Dixon "Dick" "Dixon" Jacob pronounced "Manack" Manaque  Jacob Monaque Manac-McNac Moniac (Hollander) and his mother was Polly Colbert (Tuskegee Creek Wind Clan).  His maternal grandparents were Gen. William James "Pyaheggo" and "Billy Colbert""Chooshemataha" Colbert (Chickasaw) and Ish-ta-na-ha Miriam "Mimey" Geer (Tuskegee Taskigi). He had two brothers and two sisters, named David, John, Mary Polly and Mahagen  Nakaha Nahoga. He had three half-sisters named Jesse, Elise and Hannah.  He died on August 21st, 1837 in Trail of Tears.
