Henry was born in 1717 in Charleston, Charleston Co., S.C.  Henry's father was Gov Arthur Acting South Carolina Governor (1725-1730)  Middleton and his mother was Sarah Emory (Amory).  His paternal grandparents are Edward Middleton and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Thomas.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 67 on June 13th, 1784.
