Sarah was born on September 12th, 1720 in Norwich, New London Co., CT.  Sarah's father was Abial Abiel Marshall and her mother was Abiah Hough.  Her maternal grandparents are Capt John Hough (HUGHEY (Soundex H200) — See also CAUGHEY, DONAGHEY, DONOHUGH, FITZHUGH, HAUGHEY, HOE, HOEGH, HOEY, HOOE, HOU, HOUEYE, HOUGH, HOW, HOWE, HOY, HOYE, HUEY,) and Sarah GD of John Post.  Samuel Marshall and Rebecca Newberry were her grandparents through her father's adoption. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Abial Abiel, John, Thomas, Anna, Sara and Abiah Abiall.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 53 in 1773 in Norwich, New London Co., CT.
