    Carol writes:  Ralph Marshal Comer seems to be a patient man who waited 50+ years after winning -- and then
    losing -- his first and one true love. Married 23 Dec 1916, Ralph Comer and Edna Clara/Clara Edna both had
    returned to their respective parents' households by in 1920. He was claiming to be married, she said single.
    In 1930, he still was living with his folks [Isaac and Anna] in Monroe Twp, Grant Co., IN, now admitting to be
    divorced. There's no evidence Ralph ever married; on the 1942 Old Man's WWII Draft Registration, he listed
    "Isaac Comer" as the person who would always know his address.
    Where was Edna Clara was for half a century? She apparently married a man with children [who?] and had her own
    daughter, Dorese c1923. Telephone directory changes indicate that about 1996, Dorese White of Kewanna
    [653-2326] became Dorese Miller [wife of Damon] of Kewanna [653-2326]; this number was in the phone book
    through 2002. Ancestry's Public Record Index shows Dorese A Miller as age 84. No SSDI entries found for
    either.

    Ralph M. Comer
         Ralph M. COMER, 92, Kewanna, died at 11 a.m. Thursday at his home.
         He was born July 20, 1893 in Jasper County to Isaac and Anna OWENS COMER. He was married May 13, 1968 in
    Kewanna to Edna C. CALVIN, who died July 28, 1981. He moved to Kewanna in 1900, moved to Grant County in 1916,
    and returned to Kewanna in 1968. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Chapel Hill Church, Marion.
         Surviving are a step-daughter, Dorese WHITE, Kewanna; three step-grandchildren, and five
    step-great-grandchildrin. A brother preceded in death.
         Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with the Rev. Neil
    MILLIMAN officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna. Friends may call after 4 p.m.
    Saturday.
