George W Carter

George W was born on May 20th, 1839. George W's father was LittleBerry Carter and his mother was Nancy Stinnett. His paternal grandparents were Fleming Carter and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were William Stinnett and Nancy Carter. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James Madison, Jefferson Peter, William Stinnett, Allen, Charles Lilburne, Elizabeth, Polly, Sara A Sally, Phebe A, Pleasant and Martha. He was the tenth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 22 in February 1862 in Staunton, Virginia.
