Robert THE was born in 1274.  Robert THE's father was Robert Earl of Carrick Bruce VII and his mother was Countess Marjorie Margaret of Carrick.  His paternal grandparents are Robert Bruce and Christina Orreby; his maternal grandparents were Nigel Earl of Carrick Stewart and Margaret.  Robert fifth lord Lord of Annandale Bruce VI and Isabel heiress to crown of Scotland De Clare were his grandparents through his father's adoption. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Edward, John, <Unknown>, Matilda, Margaret, <Unknown>, Christian, <Unknown>, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 55 in 1329.
