    "23498. WELBURN BATIE Tahlequah, Okla.
    Rejected. Old Settlers on both sides. Test. P. 3329.
    MISC. TEST. P. 3329. No. 23498 - Welburn Batie:
    "I am 26 years of age. I am a Cherokee allottee and my number is 29942.
    My father is living about four miles west of here. He is an Old Settler. He
    drew Old Settler money. My father was too young to be in the war. I also
    claim Indian blood through my mother. She was not living at the time of the
    Immigrant payment. Bob Parris was my mother's father. I never saw him. He
    was an Indian. He died at the close of the war. He was an Old Settler.
    Martha Parris was my mother's mother. She is an Old Settler. Her maiden
    name was Martha Wood. My grandmother Martha Parris enrolled with the Old
    Settler group 258, page 80. Robert Parris, Jr., grandfather of applicant was
    enrolled with the Old Settlers Group 46, page 27. Wm. Batie was my
    grandfather on my father's side. He was an Old Settler. He was killed in
    the time of the war. He is enrolled with the Old Settlers groups 89, page
    70. He had two sisters one named Emmeline and one named Samantha. Annie
    Batie was my grandmother. She was an Old Settler, group 140, page 57. I did
    not get any Old Settler money about 14 weeks ago."
