William Hughes

William was born in 1848 in Guilden Sutton, Chester, Cheshire.¹ William's father was Peter Hughes and his mother was Ann Walker. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Thomas, John, Joseph, Arthur, Edwin, Ann and Frances. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
